Pneumatic clamping devices - Clamping modules

There are a different types of pneumatic clamping devices such as clamping module block shaped, clamping module round shaped, Linear/swivel clamp and hinge cylinder clamp. Clamping modules whether block or round shaped use a diaphragm instead of a piston rod to perform a shorter stroke for a certain application, but the rest of the pneumatic clamps use a cylinder with piston rod to perform applications such as assembly operations and welding.

Clamping modules

Clamping module block shaped consisting of three main parts, first: the Foot mounting which allow using that module in the horizontal direction (only block shaped clamping module), second: the pressure plate which protects the diaphragm against the external damage, third: Push-in fitting which uses for connecting the compressed air to operate the clamping module.

Clamping area for the clamping module block shaped between 10x30 mm and 20x180 mm but for the clamping module round shaped is between Ø12 mm to Ø63 mm and the stroke length is short and between 3 mm to 5 mm. The operating pressure should be equal or less than 6 bar.

Applications

  1. The clamping module is proper for all types of attaching & detaching tools.
  2. Used for gripping & drawing the PVC Thermoforming Film in pharmaceutical blistering (KLOCKNER) machine and another set of clamping modules used to hold the film in the same process.
